University of East London

Although the University of East London officially got its university status in 1992, its roots can be traced far back in 1892 when it was established as the West Ham Technical Institute.
After 100 years of expanding and providing learning opportunities to students in multiple disciplines, it finally earned recognition. With its motto of “Scientia et votorum impletio” which translates to “Knowledge and the fulfilment of vows”, it is recognised as the Best Modern University in London by the National Student Survey and placed 2nd in the UK for Teaching Quality by Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2018.
